Trainer’s Room: What Does Ronnie Brown’s Injury Mean for Dynasty Owners? (Lisfranc Fracture)

Submitted by Mike Caprio on November 19, 2009 – 9:50 amNo Comment

Ronnie Brown

Dolphin fans and Ronnie Brown owners were greeted with horrific news yesterday when the team announced that their starting running back and Wildcat aficionado would miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury.

Last night, Miami Herald’s Jeff Darlington  revealed the culprit via Twitter—a Lisfranc fracture in his right foot.

For those not named Will Carroll or in year two of medical school, a Lisfranc fracture is a midfoot fracture to the bones that form the arch on the top of the foot.

However, if you are a Ronnie Brown owner in a Dynasty/Keeper league his injury should be less of a factor than Brown’s impending free agency in a “salary cap-free” 2010.  He should make a full recovery but at this point should be a “toss up” in terms of Keeper status.
