New England Patriots fans are cringing after the news of a potentially serious injury to the league’s most prolific pass-catcher. Wes Welker hurt his left knee, and needed assistance getting off the field. While on the sidelines, he was seen cursing/yelling on the bench, which eventually gave way to tears. A cart was summoned, which took Welker to the locker room. It doesn’t take a detective to determine that there is a high probability Welker will not be a part of the post season. Colts’ management will point to this meaningless game game and say “See, this is exactly why we bench our stars”. I could buy that logic if the Colts didn’t constantly underachieve in the playoffs.
