If you’re a Broncos fan I am already sorry.

If you’re a Knowshon Moreno Fantasy owner, you just dodged a bullet.

Last night, while Bronco’s Quarterback Kyle Orton was hosting pass catching drills for the 49ers, Moreno departed after just three carries with an apparent knee injury.

Moreno’s MRI today revealed a sprain of his knee, and according to sources from Pro Football Talk at worst the Broncos’ would be without their starting running back for the remainder of the pre-season, and at best he could return in 1-2 weeks.

Next on the depth chart for the Broncos are Correll Buckhalter, LaMont Jordan, and Peyton Hills who will all likely split snaps this pre-season based Moreno’s return date.  If you are drafting this weekend you shoudl feel comfortable drafting the former Bulldog.

While they can breathe easier today in Denver, one thing is sure, Broncos’ head coach Josh McDaniels, and owner Pat Bowlen will be taking a lot of Pepto-Bismol this season.
