Trainer’s Room: Brian Westbrook Out At Least Until Week 14 Against Giants (Concussion)

Submitted by Mike Caprio on November 20, 2009 – 11:07 pmNo Comment

Brian WestbrookToday Andy Reid confirmed what most Eagles’ fans and Westbrook owners suspected, which is the Eagles #1 RB will be out at least three games after suffering a repeat concussion last week against the Chargers.  Westbrook experienced his first concussion on October 26th, courtesy of London Fletcher, Westbrook returned last week at home only to suffer the same fate.

Eagles physicians, who showed reasonable restraint three weeks ago withholding Westbrook for two games, will likely err on the side of caution before clearing him for action again this season.

LeSean McCoy owners should rejoice as the rookie will continue to carve out a larger role in Andy Reid’s offense.   If you are a Brian Westbrook owner, prepare for the beginning of the end of an era.
