Dodgers Opening Day Starter Hiroki Kuroda to Disabled List; Eric Stults to Fill-In

Dodgers opening day starter Hiroki Kuroda was placed on the disabled list yesterday with an oblique strain that will keep him out minimally until April 22, 2009. Â The Japanese righthander will be replaced by lefthander Eric Stults from AAAÂ Albuquerque. Â Stults owns a 4.83 ERA in 14 starts for the Dodgers in his three year career and is not worthy of a pick-up in any fantasy league.
Oblique strains can go one or the other…but I would expect Kuroda to return at the end of the month and return to his spot in the rotation in either Houston or Colorado.
