“…as long as McNabb’s healthy”. It comes at the end of every sentence involving McNabb. “The Eagles will be good this season…”. “The Eagles receiving unit is poised to rank near the top of the NFL…”. “My fantasy team is destined for a championship…”. See what I mean? The guy is solid, as long…

I mentioned Peterson above, and I am very bullish on him in 2008. He was dealt this off-season to the lowly Lions, and joins Ernie Sims and newly signed Larry Foote to make up the linebacking unit. Sims is the defensive centerpiece in Detroit, but don’t sleep on Peterson’s potential. Both players should be

Turn the clock back to August 2008. This guy’s potential was through the roof! A year later, and he has become just another RB#2. Now is the time to pounce. The Raiders have been a good rushing team the past two seasons, ranking 10th in 2008 and sixth in 2007. Justin Fargas is a…

Absolutely devastating news for the Eagles and IDP owners today. Middle linebacker Stewart Bradley is done for the season after tearing his ACL. My next IDP “Reach Vs. Value” piece was going to be Bradley. That would have been weird if I chose him yesterday instead of James.
.
While we do wish for a healthy recovery, IDP owners…

We move from one inside 3-4 linebacker to another. James started the 2008 season no different from any of his other previous three ordinary seasons. Then something magically clicked in week seven. From that point forward, he was one of the top linebackers in all of fantasy football. We’re not talking about a three

Pettrigrew could be my favorite value player. I do my best to show patience when it comes to rookies or young prospects. But I simply can’t ignore the supreme potential of Pettigrew. Evidence shows it should take at least one year of seasoning to make any significant impact. My Rookie TE Production Report indicates…

I was discussing options with keeperleaguegm.com chief operating officer Michael Caprio a few weeks back. He brought up Hayes’ name and I immediately dismissed him. For some reason, I was under the impression that he was in his mid-30’s and ready to be phased out of Arizona. Upon further review, Hayes is in the

Since we’re on the special team yardage theme, let’s discuss Burleson. Folks, in 2007 he was the ninth overall receiver in leagues that reward points for special team yardage. Ninth! If your league didn’t give special team yardage points, he still was a capable receiver and fantasy starter. Burleson was known for driving Mike

I’m not joking, and I’m not high. I’m telling you a dumb (fantasy-wise, not intellectually) defensive lineman has value. Plus, it’s nice for my audience to read some pieces about lesser-known players. I was originally stoked about the potential of DT Jason Jones. In week 16, a game in which Haynesworth was inactive, Jones

You need to make it a priority to grab Harrison is all your Dynasty/Keeper leagues. He’s young (three pro seasons), second on the Cleveland depth chart, and Jamal Lewis is an old 30 years of age (2399 career carries). But these facts are obvious, and I need to dig a little deeper to get

He won’t be available if your Dynasty league is already in existence. But if you’re league is brand new, Rivers is a great young linebacker to target. Removing his week three clunker vs the Giants, his career was off to a nice start – 24 solos, 11 assists, and two turnovers in five games

Have I mentioned how bad the Chiefs defense is? They stink – there, I said it again. They do not have the adequate personnel to make the switch to the 3-4. This minor detail won’t stop head coach Todd Haley from employing the scheme. The leaky defense will force the Chiefs to air it

He is the entire Eagles offense. I don’t care about the presence of Donovan McNabb, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, or LeSean McCoy. Westbrook is a stud, and surprisingly healthy of late (Ankle Surgery details here). He often gets fantasy owners nervous with his perceived injury risk status. However, in the last three seasons he

I’m bullish on the kid. I have a feeling he’s going to be the type of player that will put up solid stats regardless of playing time and linebacker designation. Kind of like Angelo Crowell, former Seahawk Julian Peterson, and David Thornton. These SAMs (strong side linebackers) have proven to be valuable commodities in

Tight End is a difficult position to handicap in Fantasy Football—it’s kind of like a Catcher in Fantasy Baseball—a premiere player is nice to have, but hardly a necessity—and one you should not overpay for on draft day.
However, especially in a Dynasty League, getting a solid Tight End, and keeping him, can create maximum value out of a “low value” roster spot.

Um, where the heck did his 2008 season come from? A general afterthought in many leagues, he exploded for 79 catches, 928 yards, and a fat 10 TDs in his third season. And don’t think he only produced when Marques Colston was out of the lineup. Moore averaged five catches for 65 yards per
